Overview

SelBuddy ('the Service') is an e-commerce product sourcing and management automation platform. This policy describes how personal information is collected and processed when you use the SelBuddy Chrome extension and web service.

Information We Collect

• Account credentials: User ID and password provided at sign-up (passwords stored as bcrypt hashes)
• Authentication token: JWT issued upon login (stored in browser localStorage)
• Product data: Shopping product information collected by the user (name, price, images, options, etc.)
• Order data: Orders synchronized from connected sales channels (Smartstore, Cafe24, LotteON, Coupang)

How We Use Your Information

• Service authentication and account management
• Providing product collection, editing, and listing services
• Order notifications and synchronization services

Chrome Extension Data Access

The Chrome extension only collects product information from supported shopping sites (Coupang, Musinsa, Olive Young, etc.) while you browse them. Collected data is sent only to SelBuddy servers and is never shared with third parties. Authentication tokens are stored in chrome.storage.local and are not transmitted to external domains.

Smartstore Stock Checker Extension

'SelBuddy Smartstore Stock Checker' is a separately distributed, free extension available even to users without a SelBuddy account. The storage permission is used to store the SelBuddy login token and user ID locally to check authentication status, and the alarms permission is used to periodically refresh the authentication token. This extension only reads product name, price, stock quantity, options, and thumbnail information already publicly displayed on the Naver Smartstore product page you are viewing, shows it on screen, and does not store it separately or share it with third parties.

Third-Party Disclosure

SelBuddy does not sell or share your personal information with third parties. However, when you list products on sales channels you have connected (Smartstore, Cafe24, LotteON, Coupang), the relevant product data is sent to those platforms via their APIs.

Data Retention and Deletion

Upon account deletion, your account information is soft-deleted and permanently removed within 30 days. Removing the Chrome extension deletes all data stored in chrome.storage.local.
